DEISM: CITIZEN 2012- 10 Commandments of a Deist

The ten commandments I'm writing on this post are not really commandments or laws, they are just some common sense affirmations I have laid down within myself in order to always remember what I stand for personally.  All Deists should do the same, copy mine if you like them and agree with them or come up with your own. It's your life to live after all not mine and you should be the one to set your own rules that will  provide you the most optimum survival in this world.

Most of the 10 commandments will easily fall under the simple, but yet perfect  golden rule.

"Treat others the way you would like to be treated"

1. Do not commit murder ( Unless someone is trying to kill me, then I don't have a problem  defending my own life)
2. Do not betray the trust of your significant other ( In short I wont cheat on my wife, Just as I wouldn't want her to betray my trust and be with another man)
3. Respect the time you have on this Earth and use it wisely ( This is difficult to do, as we all live in a society of bread and games)
4. Improve and expand your intellect in all areas of study and knowledge ( Also difficult to do but not impossible, I have to find within myself the thirst for learning I had when I was a child)
5. Always tell the truth as you see it ( This will upset many in my circle of friends and family but it will set my soul free)
6. Fight everyday the urges of materialism ( We are all breed consumers and I was no different growing up, but I recognize this foe and will fight it to my dying end)
7. Do not give words or images power over your emotions ( Words and pictures will only have power over you if you let them, but in the end they are just words or images and nothing else)
8. Use your God given gift of Reason and Creativity everyday ( My ability to think and create is what separates me from the animals, I respect that and will use it to my advantage in this life)
9. Be grateful of everything you have in this life ( The good or the bad I have suffered in my life is makes me who I am today, I have no regrets and only a bright future ahead of me)
10. Eat, Drink, Love and most importantly be happy ( I'm not going take the bullshit that life throws at me too seriously. One day I will die and so will the people I love, when you have this simple fact embedded in your mind you will see that there are very few things you should be angry about and hold long grudges.)

DEISM: Citizen 2012- Rebuilding The Tower of Babel

This is the first post  I write and share my thoughts on Deism and what is means to Me. 
I have  embarked in a personal journey that may be called a crusade for the pursuit of truth. Deism for me was the catalytic component to jump start my life in a different direction. The term Deist  was well defined for Me at Wikipedia along with other websites I surfed through online.

"God created the Universe, Man created Religion" 

These words have enlightened me to the view that the only way I may find God in my life is to walk the path alone, perhaps this is the way He truly intended for it to done. Which is to say the hardest path and the one that would require the most devotion to truly be closer to him, and if I die and face His judgement for simply seeking the truth of My place in his universe, so be it.

If God is to Condemn me for not believing in the fantasy  books that people peddle for money in his name...So be it, challenge accepted!

With that being said, the beauty of Deism is that no Deist should ever have the same philosophy in life and share the exact same views on God and the after life. We as Deists are on our own, but We can and should hold intellectual discourse not only of subject of God but on basically EVERYTHING.

According to the biblical account, a united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating from the east, came to the land ofShinar, where they resolved to build a city with a tower 


"with its top in the heavens...lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the Earth." 


God came down to see what they did and said: "They are one people and have one language, and nothing will be withholden from them which they purpose to do." So God said, 


"Come, let us go down and confound their speech." And so God scattered them upon the face of the Earth, and confused their languages, and they left off building the city, which was called Babel "


because God there confounded the language of all the Earth."(Genesis 11:5-8).

If the Writings of the Abraham Religions were real, because they are NOT. This single passage  tells me that our God given intellect and creativity should never be used to it's fullest. The passage also tells Me that God doesn't want to see a United Humanity that can communicate with each other in one common language. I call bullshit!

I am rebuilding the Tower of Babel within myself and take my ability to Reason, Think, Learn and Create to it's fullest. I hope to inspire others to do this as well to their own lives. 

My common language to mankind is the Internet. The path of the Polymath that I seek was walked by others in history, so it's not impossible to learn and increase our knowledge in various subject matters. All one needs to do is decide to do it and never accept some else words on what your life should be about. 

The new Tower of Babel that I intend to rebuild will not be visible in an open space or be observed by anyone. This Tower will be build within the global Consciousness of people that I network with and communicate with on the web and my every day life. One person at a time I hope to come with a common agreement that Our time here on Earth is too  precious to waste on falsehoods.

The clock for everyone's impeding Death never stops ticking, what we all do with the time we have is priceless, but yet we waste it away. Watching TV, Playing Games, listening to corrupted Political ideologies, Worshiping and following the rituals of equally corrupted religions. 

My generation and others have for centuries wasted their time with these things. Many have died in stupid wars or sacrificed their time working for a measly pay and listening to some else telling you what to think and how to live.

Ask yourself this: Is the money I earn every week for the hours I  put in, 40, 50, 60, 70 etc... define what my life is worth? What would I do different right now if I knew I was going to die this week?

The hour is now for me to embrace every minute I have alive. I could die right now from a blood vessel bursting in my brain as I write this, I could come down with a terminal disease in the next weeks. You could be having a heart attack from reading my post and yelling BLASPHEMY..... All the way to the great beyond...

My point is for you to stop looking up to other people for a meaning in your life and letting words have power over you. When you die, you will be the one that dies not me. We all share two things in common, we are all Humans and in the end we ALL DIE ALONE.

The mysteries of sub-atomic physics offer us startling new perspectives on the human mind. Physicist Nick Herbert, Ph.D., author of Quantum Reality, points out that no matter how one interprets the equations of quantum physics the results lead to amazing and paradoxical concepts. Perhaps that time runs backwards as well as forward. Perhaps multiple independent universes are created each second.

Herbert studied Engineering Physics at the Ohio State University, graduating in 1959. He received a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University in 1967 for work on nuclear scattering experiments. After a one year teaching job at Monmouth College in Illinois, Herbert held a number of posts in industry. 

The most illustrious of these was senior physicist at Memorex Corporation in Santa Clara, California, where he developed new magnetic materials, as well as magnetic, electrostatic and optical measuring devices, and carried out theoretical work on Lorentz microscopy. He was also senior physicist at Smith-Corona Marchant Corporation in Palo Alto, California where he developed a new theory of xerographic process and worked on early developments in ink jet printing.

While employed in industry, Herbert was part of the Fundamental Fysiks Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, founded in May 1975 by Elizabeth Rauscher and George Weissmann. The group's initial interest was in the interpretation of quantum mechanics, the EPR paradox, and Bell's inequality, but members pursued diverse interests that lay outside of mainstream physics, exploring psychedelic drugs, psi phenomena, the nature of consciousness, and speculative connections of these areas with quantum physics. 

During the 1970s and 1980s, Herbert and Saul-Paul Sirag organized a yearly Esalen Seminar on the Nature of Reality, bringing together participants to discuss the interpretation of quantum mechanics. With Richard Shoup of Xerox PARC, Herbert constructed a "Metaphase Typewriter", a "quantum operated" device whose purpose was "to communicate with disembodied spirits".

 Despite many tests, including an attempt to contact the spirit of Harry Houdini on the hundredth anniversary of his birth, the group reported no success with the device.

Herbert supports a holistic interpretation of quantum physics. He has argued for "quantum animism" in which mind permeates the world at every level. Werner Krieglstein wrote regarding his quantum animism:

"Herbert's quantum animism differs from traditional animism in that it avoids assuming a dualistic model of mind and matter. Traditional dualism assumes that some kind of spirit inhabitats a body and makes it move, a ghost in the machine. Herbert's quantum animism presents the idea that every natural system has an inner life, a conscious center, from which it directs and observes its action."

In 1981, Herbert proposed FLASH, a scheme for sending signals faster than the speed of light using quantum entanglement. 

Of this proposal, quantum computing pioneer Asher Peres wrote:

"I was the referee who approved the publication of Nick Herbert’s FLASH paper, knowing perfectly well that it was wrong. I explain why my decision was the correct one, and I briefly review the progress to which it led." 

Chief among the results that Peres claimed stemmed from a refutation of Herbert's proposal was the no-cloning theorem, proved by Wootters, Zurek, and Dieks

Super professional narration, fantastic visuals, love the Mandelbrot sets and the superimpositions and skillfull transitions, intro is superb. We find that "author" and "architect" are the key terms. The Clockwork universe of Newton comes into play with excellent imagery. Wow! Does any religion have the right answers? These are the questions the Deists asks, as well as being sick of warfare over religion. Copernicus, Kepler, Brahe, Galileo destroyed Christianity's earth-centered view. The Bible was in for a drubbing with Lord Cherbury and friends. Locke comes into play opposing innateness arguments for this Deist God, and the tabula rasa or blank slate notion of mind comes into play. Deists then had to turn to arguments from experience and nature. Extensive, skillfull panning and cropping. Both the French and American revolutions were influenced by this movement. The Cult of the Supreme Being was a national cult in France for a time. Many founding fathers saw the value of reason, but especially Jefferson was a propounder of Deism. Franklin found anti-Deist tracts drew him to Deism and Thomas Paine made it popular. We see a god without revelation. Nice definition of all of it: a creative power greater than human... the growth is the fastest growing religion or .02 of the population. Hans Hegge narrated wonderfully, the credits are clear and extensive. Loved it! Persuasive....

Its all semantics and until the "active" Atheist understands what the true meaning of the title is that they give themselves, they'll never understand God,or the God concept.

The active Atheist like the pure Deist knows that we come from Something but for some reason the "active" Atheist just can't give that Something the title of God. God is a word/title/name that can be synonymous with other words like Nature,Life,or the Universe. Is God the creator of these things,or is God these things, is just ones faith on the matter. 

This video shows that the "active" Atheist will even compromise their very own reasoning skills to teach man that God (Nature,Life,the Universe) is not real.

Recognition is the first step to understanding. I hope that this video doesn't seem too mean spirited. Know that Deism is my religion so when you call my religion dumb my ego gets a little browsed.

Sorry its been so long doing a video but my "I am the Christ Prophet" video set me back a little with family members who like to think of only certain spacial people having powers of personal revelations from this Eternal Life Force that man rightly calls God.
